My Inner Me
By Isabella Martinez, Feb. 22, 2024
I am from past pink walls that my parents helped paint themselves to make me as happy as can be. Now I can only remember them, missing the good memories of when I was young and played all day in the cluttered room that was freeing.
From that cluttered mess of a room, I would bring dolls to the place I loved. My grandparents' house was always fun to visit, especially with my dolls and was the best way and place to keep a smile on my face.
I am from laughing and smiling with others, and the people I love about the things we experienced together that we both remember. And I am from the times when I'm the only one laughing and then being told “Behave.”
I am from the beauty and happiness of yellow sunflowers while being hit with the sun's rays of lights. These bring no joy to not me but instead my Granny whose love for them is big for she sees them as her beauties.
I am from the world of art and literature and the undying love for drawing, and reading. Reading is a passtime and drawing is a hobby but to draw i need focus and to focus I like to listen to my favorite kind of music, metal.
I am from Toña. She was my great grandmother and she took care of me when I was born. And I am also from her daughter Chayo. I am from the lasagna, and from the spaghetti she made me with love.
I am from those moments when you can hang out with friends alone and have a great time laughing and not worrying aboutanything. From times I tell my friends about whatever I want and we laugh it off and have an amazing time no matter what.
