Sports in the Middle Ages Poem
Situations for normal people were hard.
People just wanted to have fun.
Only nobles and peasants had plenty of time.
Real knights would participate in sporting events.
There were games like
Colf, Skittles, and wrestling.
Skittles was like the game Bowling
Ice-skating was a sport that they also had.
Nearly all of these sports
we still have to this day
The longbow was used for archery
and was a really important weapon
Hard battles were made.
Easily people with great skills would win the games.
Many of the games we still have to this day
are based on the ones in the past.
If you lived back then in the medieval times
then you would have to learn archery.
Death could happen in the games.
During the middle ages,
knights would participate in joust tournaments.
Longbows could be as long as a kid.
Evidence shows that Ice-skating
was a popular sport in the medieval times.
All of these sports were used as entertainment.
Great wealth was awarded to the winner.
Entertainment varied in the medieval times.
Stoolball was more like cricket.
