As people continue to pollute and damage the planet they need to find new solutions to save the planet, that is where environmental engineers come in. They help find new solutions to solve environmental problems. Some of these include pollution, water waste, hazardous waste, and they also try to improve recycling.

On average an environmental engineer earns $92,120 yearly. They work 40 hours or more each week depending on if they are working on any projects. If they are working on projects they would be on the site of the project actively working. If they don't have any projects they would be in the office working on any future projects. At the office they could also be replaying or sending emails, talking to environmental technicians, or giving people recommendations. Environmental engineers spend a lot of time talking with people in groups or talking to companies that they will work with.

In order to become an environmental engineer, you need a bachelor's degree. When you are applying for the job employers would most likely hire you if you have graduated from an accredited program. And some skills that will help you succeed with this job are imagination, problem-solving, critical thinking, and interpretation skills.

Some of the benefits environmental engineers get are health and life insurance, pension plans, sick leave, and vacations. They are able to get as much vacation time they want as long as they finish their work. A positive about this job is that you are able to find new ways to be able to save the planet such as removing waste. And a negative is that and environmental engineer is one of the lowest paying engineer jobs.
