8th grade was a really fun year but also really stressful with everything going on. At the beginning of the school year everyone was virtual. I could never stay focused when I was at home in online meets and I was really struggling to keep my grades up. Once we got to go back to school everything started to get a little bit better but still not as good as I would have wanted it to be.
A couple of weeks ago I took 4 STAAR tests (Algebra, Science, ELAR and History). I got masters in Algebra and History and missed 2 and 1 questions on ELAR and Science. There were lots of other tests that I did well on but not as important.
This last week was most definitely the most fun and the highlight of the school year. On Friday after school we had an 8th grade dance. And as most people know I am Hispanic but I look white and act like it. It was the first time I have actually danced and it was a really good time. I wish it would have been longer but it was only till 9pm.
I am in the last week of middle school which is very sad for me because once I go to high school it is going to be very different. I am not going to see some of my friends for a while after this week so I hope to make it the best, but after this week I will officially be done with my middle school career.
