Class descriptions:
AP Biology - This is the first semester of college level Biology taught over the entire high school year. The intent is to prepare students to take the AP exam in May and pass with a score of 3 or above, gaining college credit. This course is fast-paced, and requires a minimum of 5 hours per week in class prep. This class is taught as a flipped classroom, so students will be required to preview the day's information before class, and take quizzes on that content at the beginning of class.
The new emphasis is that if you are taking an AP class it is assumed you will be taking the AP exam. If do not intend to take the test, you do not need to take this class.
Environmental Systems This is a CTE course that teaches students about the environment that they live in. It increases awareness of current environmental changes.
