Art Car
Making my art car was a task that took so much time, but I had a task and I did it.
I started with a small box just like everybody else and taped it to a flat long piece of cardboard this would later become the assembly line part of my car.
After finishing the base of the assembly line I moved on to the little car where I used a car outline provided and taped them together with cardboard in between the two sides of the car.
after making the bases then I paper maché all over the car. The most important part is to leave holes in the wheels.
After I paper maché the car and let it dry I painted over it in white paint. The white paint is a base to paint over. I paint black over the white paint except for a stripe down the middle where I paint grey. after that, I painted headlights on the front and back of the assembly line part.
Another detail that I spent a long time on was the people on the assembly line. The people were little wooden clips sawed in half and then painted on. I painted the skin color on then I painted the hats/clothes. The hardest part of making the people was the face and I retried about 5 times.
After that whole mess, I painted the car by painting it grey and letting it dry then I put tape down in the shape of squares (not filled in) and painted it in with white to make windows and peel it off. After that, I painted on backlights.
I chained the two cars together after I was done.
I then added gears, wrenches, and screwdrivers to the car by carving them out of styrofoam and painting them. Then I glued them all to the car. The last part I did was the logos on the cars. I started with cardboard and I paper machéd all over them then I painted it grey after that I painted a smaller blue circle on it let it dry and wrote Ford on it. Lastly, I glued it to the car.
I had to redo a lot of things and I liked having something to do and listening to music while working.
