Dylan Mendez was born on January 2, 2011, in Houston, Texas. It was an early and cold morning when he was born. Dylan was the first born in his family, and his parents Rubi and Juan had 4 other kids so Dylan had, 1 sister, and 3 brothers. He also has many cousins, uncles, and aunts. When Dylan first started school he attended Pyburn Elementary, however, he had to move so he ended up having to change schools in the 3rd grade and then started going to Purple Sage Elementary. Although he had to say goodbye to his old friends, he had the chance to make new ones, so he did just that. Currently, Dylan is 14 years old and is an 8th grader at Woodland Acres Middle School.
Dylan has many hobbies he likes doing, some of them are playing video games with his friends online, and inviting his friends over to hang out and play soccer outside together, and he also likes going to the park to play soccer with his dad and siblings. During Dylan’s free time, he likes to practice and play the music pieces from his band class on his euphonium and he always aims to get better, he likes spending time with his family and chatting with them, and he enjoys reading books most of the time, and lastly, he really enjoys watching horror movies with his family in the living room at night.
Dylan has accomplished many things throughout his life, for instance, one of his best accomplishments in middle school is being in the wind ensemble at his school which is the highest someone can be in for band, also got a 1 for band during UIL on his solo which is a very big deal and he was proud to get that and having A's and B's in most of his classes. However, right now Dylan might not have all A’s but he's trying his best to get back to having all A’s again. Some other accomplishments are getting good scores on his tests, getting good grades in science which is his worst subject, being in GT in Elementary, and being in encounters, and lastly, being in all advanced classes.
Some goals that Dylan Has set for himself are to get all A's this year, continue getting high scores on his tests, get higher than a 94 on his reading staar test, pass all the other staar tests, and attend a good college, do good on UIL for band again this year. The future job Dylan wants is to be a Real Estate Agent, however, to accomplish this he will need to continue to work hard and continue doing good in all his classes so that he will be able to get into a good college later on and earn the education he needs and get his dream job.
