Reflecting on my year as a 7th grader, it was a huge change for me and it was a change, filled with many emotions, new friends, and new memories. This year was a transition that I had a rough time getting used to since It was filled with many challenges that I had to go through and lots of new things I needed to learn.
One huge change that occurred was that we had more classes than last year and the work increased. Additionally, the work became difficult and I had to put more effort into my classes to get good grades. Each class showed its challenges that I had to try and go through. One class that helped me develop responsibility and pushed me to work hard was Encounters. This was a class that was difficult and taught me how to use my time wisely during class. These advanced classes have helped me improve myself as a person and helped me improve many other things as well.
This year I became very social, I talked to more people, and I met a lot of new friends. I always hung out with my friends or stayed for tutorials just to hang out with them. There were a lot of things that kept me busy like doing all my homework from my teachers and working on assignments on a call with my friends. I did many things this term that made this year more interesting and fun. I went from not talking to many people last year to having a lot of friends and talking to lots of people this year.
I did many fun things this year to make it more enjoyable and make it so that I could try new things other than just working on my homework all day. Some of the things I did this year were being in band, playing on the school football team earlier this year, and going on fun field trips to different places too. This year I did many memorable things with my friends and improved my social surroundings by doing so.
Next year, I can look back and say that I reached the goals that I set and be proud of how much I improved as a person that year. 7th grade has helped me be more social, work harder, put more effort into things, and be more responsible. 7th grade has helped me in many different ways and will help me in the future by reflecting on my mistakes and learning from them.
Those Little Moments
I am from watching TV after school,
and from the park at Pyburn I would always play at.
I am from an extremely loud family,
and from always being late to every family gathering.
I am from the vegetables that grow in my grandparents garden,
whose help make my grandma’s recipes better.
I am from playing video games with my friends,
And the rap music that I enjoy listening to.
I am from getting love and support from my loving parents Rubi and Juan,
and from the Tamales that my tia makes when we come over.
I am from those moments when we go on a family trip together and enjoy every second of it.
