About Me

Welcome!!

My name is Mrs. Speck. I graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont with a bachelor's degree. I have been in education since 2009. I love photography and technology. I got my first camera when I was in junior high and since then I have never put it down. My favorite program is Photoshop and Illustrator. I love all the cool things you can do with both programs. 

I have a daughter and her name is Emma. She is 7 years old. She was born the day after Christmas and is full of life and personality. She is sassy and always asking questions. We have two rescue dogs, Otis and Max. I love to travel and have been to some very cool places (Iceland, France, Italy, Germany, and Alaska) just to name a few (before COVID).

In April 2021 my husband bought some bees and now we are beekeepers. It has been fun trying to learn how hives work and how to harvest honey. We hope to grow our hives and have more one day.

This school year I will be teaching 8th-grade Digital Art & Animation and Video Game Design. This is my 15th year in education and I'm excited you are here. It's going to be a great year.

In the summer of 2022, I had my second child, Henry. I'm super excited to add a baby boy to our family. Here are some pics of my family and hobbies!
