My name is Mrs. Speck. I graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont with a bachelor's degree. I have been in education since 2009. I love photography and technology. I got my first camera when I was in junior high, and since then, I have never put it down. My favorite program is Photoshop and Illustrator. I love all the cool things you can do with both programs.

I have a daughter named Emma. She is 9 years old. She was born the day after Christmas and is full of life and personality. She is sassy and always asking questions. We have two rescue dogs, Cooper and Max. I love to travel and have been to some very cool places (Iceland, France, Italy, Germany, and Alaska), just to name a few (before COVID).

In April 2021, my husband bought some bees, and now we are beekeepers. It has been fun learning how hives work and how to harvest honey.

This school year, I will be starting my 10th year teaching 8th-grade Digital Art & Animation and Video Game Design in Galena Park ISD. This is my 17th year in education, and I'm excited you are here. It's going to be a great year.

In the summer of 2022, I had my second child, Henry. I'm super excited to add a baby boy to our family. He loves all things boy, trucks, planes, cars, etc.

In October of 2024, I started my Master's in Education: Applied Digital Learning, and graduated in December of 2025.
