This eighth-grade year has gone by fast and brought new opportunities and new experiences. This has also made me reflect on the things and goals I have accomplished. I also brought friends and family closer and new sports opportunities that I really have enjoyed doing. All the ups and downs have made me who I am today.
This year has brought me to take advanced classes for all the subjects, and for some classes, I got to receive credits that are accumulating for high school. This school year I have also kept my grades up for the most part and have received an A and B honor. I also got to take Spanish 2 and it has helped me with my credits and it also helped me with getting closer to graduating as a bilingual student. As for my class of Encounters, I have to say this year has been my favorite and it has marked a special memory in my life. I have loved working on my project and I have enjoyed the times when Mr. Skipper has helped me find solutions to all my problems.
As for my friends, I have grown closer to all of them. Although some have taken different paths I can still say that they are my friends. This year my friends and I like to spend time outside of school. One of the memories of my friends and I is my birthday party, we had a great time playing and talking about life. Another memory that I have of me and my friends is all the fun we have in school every day.
Some of the things that I do outside of school are participating in sports. Sports have really made me happy. It has brought me some accomplishments too. In Volleyball, I helped my team get a co-district banner and I improved on some of my skills. Basketball was something else. This season made me fall in love with the sport, it made me want to keep playing after the season was over. During track season, I spent a lot of time having a good time with my friends and celebrating our good place.
Overall, this year has brought me a lot of opportunities. It also made me face some ups and downs regarding my grades and my social life. This year has also taught me very important skills that will be helpful in the future. Outside of school and inside of school I will remember this year for the rest of my life.
