Classroom Procedures

Our main source of information will be posted on this website. Messaging is through School Status or school email. Skyward is the program with attendance information & grades. Google Classrooms house some assignments for content areas.

Arrival and Dismissal

Students are dropped off in the cafeteria. Breakfast is served from 7:00am to 7:25am. Students are picked up from gym at 7:25.

Class promptly begins at 7:30. Tardy bell at 7:40

*Car rider line starts by the cafeteria/student decal# required.

*Bus riders leave by bus ramp.

Headphones are utilized regularly in class. A personal set is highly recommended.

Daily Water Bottle: please label disposable bottles or send a refillable container.

Snacks will be allowed during afternoon intervention time.

Dress Code

2025-2026 Policies

Clear Bag Policy: Please be aware that purses are not permitted on school grounds. Please see the district policy for more information.

Birthday Celebration Policy: Store bought cupcakes/ drink pouches are permitted to celebrate student birthdays only. No additional candy bags permitted per school policy. Please prearrange times to drop off cupcakes. Thank you!

Lunch Visits with students: Begins 09/08. (3 visits per nine weeks allowed) Please check with the front office.

Parent volunteers:

Per GPISD guidelines, all volunteers are required to fill out a background check before allowed to help in the classroom, campus or field trips. Background forms are valid for any GPISD event. (When volunteers/ visitors are allowed)

Check district website for the current school form. I encourage all parents, grandparents and family friends to turn in an application as soon as possible. Completed checks are valid August- May of each school year. Thank you so much!
