Welcome Back Wildcats! We are ready to be Great!
This is my fourth year in the Galena Park district, my 8th year in education and my 10th year in behavior support.
I'm originally from Oklahoma City, and have been living in Houston since 2018. I graduated from Oklahoma State University with my bachelors degree (2013) and Hampton University with a Masters degree in Counseling (2017). I am a trauma-informed educator that believes in the Power of Yet, restorative practices, and building transformative relationships. I look forward to working with you this year!
Hello, my name is Mr. Cane, and I am the new B.E.S.T. Para. I moved from Louisiana to Houston at the age of 13 and graduated from Goose Creek Memorial. I studied at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, where I also played football, and received my associate’s degree from Lee College. Working with B.E.S.T. means a lot to me because I struggled with ADHD myself and didn't receive the help I needed, so I know how overwhelmed these kids can feel at times. I am glad to be a member of Cunningham this year.
We are SO Excited about the 25-26 School Year! I have no doubt that this year will be one full of learning and growth. I have high expectations of my students and I don't lower them because I know every student is capable of meeting them! We will focus on the Power of Yet. You may not be where you want to be YET but with intention and practice you can get there and Mr. Cane and I are here to see to it that you meet your goals! Together we will be GREAT!
