Here are my responses to the 6th Grade Reflection Questions:
-What is something you did in 6th grade that you think you will remember for the rest of your life?
Things I want to remember from 6th grade are all the rewards I received. The A or A and B Honor Roll, perfect attendance, the Honor Roll parties, and the free tickets for lunch. This would remind me how smart and hard-working I was in 6th grade.
-What is something you accomplished this year that you are proud of?
Some things I accomplished this year were getting accepted into the NJHC, doing well on my choir UIL, getting 4th place in Listening Skills, and getting good scores on my test. I'm proud of this because I know that I try to achieve my goals, and these accomplishments help me reach my goals.
-What was the most challenging part of this year for you?
Remembering all the lessons and taking tests. To be honest, I forgot the easiest things from elementary. For example, in math, we were doing warm-ups and I forgot how to multiply with decimals. I just need to practice more. Also, time management is challenging for me. When I'm super busy, I try to organize my assignments so I can get them finished. But my habit is doing important things at the last minute.
-What are the three most important things you learned this year?
-Self-control
-Time management
-Focusing
These are the most important things I learned this year because they made me better at school. Self-control is important in choir and in band because when I'm performing, I don't want to look like a fool. So when I learned self-control, I accomplished not looking like a fool.
Time management is something I still need to work on but I think I'm getting better at it. I still do things at the last minute, but I think that it's kinda a good thing because it helps me work faster and I focus more. But trust me, doing things at the last minute is bad. So I try to get better at doing my assignments faster but I still take my time.
Lastly focusing. Focusing is hard for me because when I'm trying to work, I can get so distracted easily. Or I just get annoyed by people around me. If people are coughing, eating, or doing something that their not supposed to do I can't focus because it annoys me. Another thing is that my brother LOVES to chew with his mouth open because he knows it annoys me a lot. I try to ignore it but I just can't. It bothers me A LOT.
-In what area(s) do you feel you made the biggest improvements?
The areas I felt that I made the biggest improvements are math and ELAR. I learned so much this year that I didn't know in the past. From my test scores, I think that I made some good progress. Now my test scores are in the range of 80-100. I try to do my best and take time so I can feel good about myself when I get my test scores.
