• Operations with Decimals

Students must be able to:

• Add and subtract positive decimals (introduced in 4th grade)

• Multiply and divide positive decimals

• Multiply and divide positive decimals in real world situations

• Write whole numbers in equivalent decimal forms (5 = 5.0 = 5.00) 

• Determine if a solution is reasonable and defend your conclusions

• Distinguish between a problem that requires multiplication and a problem that requires division

• Balance a bank statement using decimals (not having a negative balance)
