Research Poem

In the land of the free,

A man named Walgreen came to be,

Charles Rudolph, his name we know,

A legend in the world of pharmacy to show.

Born in Illinois, in '70s,

He began from humble beginnings aplenty,

Working at a local drugstore, learning the trade,

Soon, he was ready to start his parade.

In 1901, the first Walgreens store was born,

A place where medicine and health were sworn,

He was a self-made man,

With hard work and determination to his plan,

He was a leader in the industry,

His pharmacy, a legacy for history,

He cared about his employees too,

Providing health insurance, a benefit anew,

He believed in education,

A scholarship program for the next generation,

He left a lasting impact,

In the world of pharmacy, his name is still intact.

So, here’s to Charles Rudolph Walgreen,

A man of vision and passion, we all agree

His life and legacy, are an inspiration to all,

A man who changed the world, standing tall.
