About Me

Teachers have a great responsibility to encourage creativity, think critically, and instill a desire to learn and expand their student's knowledge. Yeats remarked, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” I hope to light that “fire” in my students. I respect each of my students as individuals. From their diverse backgrounds and experiences, I want them to succeed in life no matter their calling.

Teaching is my calling late in life. I have over twenty years experience in technology, automotive, and oil & gas verticals that brings a different expertise to the classroom. I have lived in six states and worked with people all over the US. There are universal skills that translate to every company and profession and that is lifelong learning, reading, writing, and team dynamics.

As we venture into a workforce that utilizes technology to allow for conferencing (Speaking), working remotely (reading & writing), and global partners (diversity); I am determined to bring skills into the classroom that incorporate the fast growing reliance on technology in the workforce. I strive to bring relevance to my classroom, prepare students for the future. Teaching is how I want to give back to my community, be an inspiration and make a positive impact in the life of all my students. The expectations for my students are high as is my dream they achieve their goals in life.
