LNCA is a high level research orientation and management support group, created in the Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering Division at ITA, in which visionary concepts in aeronautics are developed based on identified technological challenges, oriented towards ecological demands and related affairs.

This laboratory provides the means for conducting experimental tests for material characterization and full-scale structural behavior. Experimental stresses and strain analysis, fatigue and damage mechanic tests, dynamic and impact test, among others, can be conducted. High-end composite structures can be produced using out-of-autoclave manufacturing processes. The facilities are use for research, development and experimental works for undergraduate and graduate students.
