Music Appreciation

Grade 10 Music Appreciation (AMC 2O1)

This course emphasizes the performance and creation of music at a level that is aimed at developing basic technique and imagination. Students will participate in creative activities that will teach them the basics of musical performance and creation while using the Elements of Music and the Creative Process. They will also learn correct musical terminology and its appropriate use. This course is designed for students wishing to learn basic skills on a variety of musical instruments and music technologies.

Students will learn beginner skills on the following musical instruments:

-ukulele

-piano/keyboard

-drums/percussion

-boomwhackers

-various music technology

-various band instruments (wind and brass)
