Grade 3 - 8 students are welcome to come and exchange books in small groups from 8:15 - 8:55 daily.
Always walk in the Library Learning Commons. No running, no playing hide & seek in the stacks.
You can use the flexible seating once you have selected your book & checked it out at the circulation desk. Please put back any seats that move around in the library back when you are done.
Treat the books with respect. Do not smush them in your desk. Try your best not to get them wet or sticky (keep them away from your lunch or water bottle in your backpack). If possible, dedicate a ziplock bag in your backpack to library books.
Keep them in the same place at home so that you can find them easily. Please do not return our school library books to the public library!
Bring your books back on time. If you have late books, you can only take out one book until they are returned.
Use the search kiosks responsibly.
If your book needs a repair, please let Mme Aston know. Do not repair them yourself.
Use the "batons". Put the paint stick where you have taken a book off the shelf. If you choose not to select the book, but it back in that spot on the shelf.
If you do not know where to put a book back on a shelf, ask or put it in the return bin. Do not just shove it anywhere.
How many books can you take? Students may take one French book and one English book in Grades 1-8. Kindergarten students take one English book.
If you lose a book, you will only be able to take out one book until it is located or replaced.

If you log in, you can see what books you have signed out and their due-dates. You can even renew books online. Please note that Mme Aston is not checking book reserves at this time. You will have to come down to the LLC. Mme Aston is happy to help you locate a book. Please give her the title and, even better, the "call number".
