Watch this short video to understand how. Mme Aston does her best to ensure that books in the library reflect diverse identities and can help serve as mirrors, windows and doors.
These goals are at the heart of all that we do in the LLC, whether it's clubs, coding, designing, literacy, science arts (etc.). Mme Aston has fiction and non-fiction books about the different goals in the LLC. This year, she looks forward to motivating and rewarding students reading and learning about these different topics.

The first will occur in November and will include evening hours during and after school and during the PD Day for Parent and Teacher conferences.
At this fair, Mme will be opting for cashback to pay for the Forest of Reading collection for 2025. The books are well-loved and used by teachers and the librarian in classroom instruction.Â
Mme Aston will be available to help you select books.
Mme Aston has been teaching all grade levels in French Immersion schools for over 20 years. She was also an Instructional Coach for 4 years with TVDSB. Outside of school, she loves to spend time with her three daughters, to read (of course), to help her husband with beekeeping, to walk her dog (Pippin - a Nova Scotia Duck Toller), to camp with family, to create stained-glass pieces and to ride her e-bike all around town!!
