Students enroll in WCI’s French Immersion program in an effort to continue their studies of second language acquisition. The program emphasizes authentic real-world learning in an engaging and relaxed environment. Students are regularly given the opportunity to explore their personal interests in the French language. Areas could include but are not limited to: Francophone culture, podcasts, grammar and vocabulary enhancement and future career interests.

In order to obtain the TVDSB French Immersion certificate, students must complete TEN (10) French Immersion courses of which 4 must be French Immersion French (FIF) and the other 6 can be chosen from the list of courses available for that year. Students are encouraged to reach beyond the minimum in an effort to maximize their learning potential in the French language.
