OYAP

Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP)

OYAP allows students to train as apprentices while attending school. OYAP students accumulate hours and master the skills necessary for a Certificate of Qualification in a skilled profession while they earn their diploma. Students interested in OYAP must:

• be 16 years of age and have successfully completed 16 credits

• be enrolled as a full time student

• demonstrate competency in the trade-related subject(s)

• demonstrate a serious attitude and commitment to their apprenticeship goal
