What is OYAP?
Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program.
The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program is a School to Work program that opens the door for students to explore and work in apprenticeship occupations through the Cooperative Education Program.
Students have an opportunity to become registered apprentices and work towards becoming certified journey persons in a skilled trade while completing their secondary school diploma.
Is OYAP right for your teen?
OYAP is both demanding and a rewarding choice for bright, eager teens who wish to investigate or jump-start their careers. OYAP is a competitive program where they consider: marks, attendance, prior co-op experience and tech credit accumulation.
