Wendy Olson had been an educator with the Thames Valley District School Board since 1998 holding various roles as Classroom Teacher, Music Teacher, Learning Support Teacher, Section 23 Special Education Teacher, System and Provincial Workshop Facilitator, K-8 Instructional Coach, and School Administrator.

Wendy has presented several workshops to educators within the Thames Valley District School Board, in conjunction with Althouse Faculty of Education at Western University, and at province-wide conferences in the following areas: New Teacher Training, Associate Teacher Training and Development, Classroom Management. Differentiated Instruction, Technology, Music, Mental Health, and Behavioural Supports.

Wendy was awarded the Champion of Children's Mental Health from the Board of Directors of MayCourt London, and received the Dawson Woodburn Memorial Award at the Faculty of Education for excellence in teaching musical concepts. She has been nominated twice for the Thames Valley Award of Distinction in recognition of her strengths in improving instructional practice and special education supports.
