April 13-17
I hope you had a great weekend. I have a fun activity for you to do this week. It is called 'Deteggtive Anderson'. Follow the instructions on the Google slides and have fun working on it!
I will post a new activity to the classroom and website each week (on Mondays).
Due to the fact that you cannot do the 'drag and drop' feature on the website you will not be able to move the eggs and rhythms. If you are submitting work this week, you can create your own worksheet on a blank piece of paper.
Please submit any work to TV9179@gotvdsb.ca Remember to write your name and the last name of your teacher in the subject line of the email.
To access the lesson, press the 'open presentation' icon in the top right hand corner of the picture. It looks like a square with an arrow in it. When you click it, you should hear my voice. Tap anywhere on the picture to move to the next slide.
I miss you!

Thank you for submitting your 'Deteggtive Anderson' work to me last week. I really enjoyed watching your videos and seeing your 4 beat rhythm patterns. The activity for this week focuses on melodic skills.

Great work on your melodic skills this week. I saw some impressive scores! The activity for this week is 'Rhythm Fun with Fairy Tales'.
I have also added a second attachment. If you would like you can print off the Google Docs worksheet called ‘Rhythm of Goldilocks’ to complete your work. If you do not have a printer you could always create your own on a blank piece of paper. Take a picture of your work and submit it to me.
Have fun!

The task for this week is a listening activity. It is a song that I think might be appropriate to think about now called "Don't Worry Be Happy". There are 2 versions of the song. Have a listen to see how they are the same and different. If you would like, you can print off the Google Doc attachment called ‘Venn Diagram - "Don't Worry Be Happy' to complete your work. If you do not have a printer you could always create your own on a blank piece of paper. Take a picture of your work and submit to me at TV9179@gotvdsb.ca
This week I have a neat 'experiment' for you using drinking glasses and some water. There are a couple of cool videos, an interactive game and the 'experiment' included in the slides. At the end there will be a link to a Google Form for you to fill in and submit. You also have the chance to write your own song too!
Stay safe,
Mrs. Inch

Welcome to our last music task for this school year! This week you will be going on a safari adventure to find the lost instruments of the orchestra. I had started this game with many of my music classes but did not get a chance to finish it with you. I know that this game was something you were enjoying so I thought I would provide the link for you to play at home. You can either play “Local Game “ or "Register for Free" to be able to play on any device and pick up where you leave off. There is nothing to submit this week! Your task is to have fun!!! Click on the link to get started.

It is hard to believe that it is the last week of school for this year. I would first like to commend you for your dedication, participation and effort during the 'distance learning' time. We found ourselves in 'new territory' but by working together we were able to continue our musical journey together. I am very proud of you all. I have missed seeing you and hearing your beautiful voices during the last 4 months and I look forward reconnecting with you when school resumes in September. Until then, keep learning about, creating and enjoying music. Wishing you a wonderful and safe summer holiday.
Be strong and stay safe.
