Mrs. Creider's Corner

Welcome Back Ravens!

This is my third year at Old North P.S. and I am very excited to be here! I will be working specifically with the Early Years students in Outdoor Education.

This year my teaching allocation includes co-teaching in a Kindergarten classroom and providing all the Early Years students with Outdoor Education. The Outdoor Education is a reflection of the students' classroom where you will find activities reflecting those of the classroom, numeracy, literacy, science, music, art, gross motor, fine motor, cooperative games, etc. Outdoor Education is a science based inquiry program where the children are given invitations to explore different aspects of their natural world and we see where it takes us. This year I have also added an outdoor physical education component for the Kindergarten students because it is important to help the children explore their gross motor skills and practice skills them in different and meaningful ways.

I have been teaching the youngest of our learners for the better part of my career and enjoy being the students' first introduction to school. This age group is filled with wonder and excitement.
