Remember you must find strategies that help you. If it means you are studying a lot more than what your friends are telling you they do, that's okay! Everybody learns at a different pace and style. Some strategies that might help:
Preparing for tests is important to make sure that you achieve and maintain your grades and learning expectations.
Here are some ideas and tips that can help you prepare for various assessments in French and possibly with other subjects as well :)
1. Make sure that you refer to the CALENDAR section of the web page so you know when your test/quiz is.
2. Make sure that you pace your studying, if it is a large test do not cram everything in the night before. Try to break up the information and study a few days before the test. It is always a good idea to find a quiet space at home that will help you focus without any technological distractions like internet, music, tv.
3. Make sure you take your notes home. If for some reason you forget your notes, some of the topics covered in class will be on the website. However there is no guarantee that everything covered in class will appear on this site, so it is very important that your notes are kept up to date.
4. Quiz yourself. Make up test questions and try to answer them with your book closed. Example, for verb conjugations, write down the subjects JE, TU, IL/ELLE, NOUS, VOUS, ILS/ELLES and then proceed to try to write out the conjugations without looking.
You could also take previous worksheets and write out some of the questions and answer them again without looking.
You can also write out the English and see if you can name off the French equivalent.
5. Ask a parent or sibling to help you quiz you.
