Curricular and Extra-Curricular Ensembles

The Laurier Music Department is home to various curricular and extra-curricular ensembles run by our dedicated music teachers. See descriptions of each ensemble and an overview of the department's weekly schedule below:

Orchestra

Grade 9 Orchestra (Repertoire) is curricular group run by Ms. Van Patter. This ensemble rehearses Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:10 - 8:00 AM

Senior Orchestra (Repertoire) is a curricular group for grades 10-12 run by Ms. Van Patter. This ensemble rehearses Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:10 - 8:00 AM.

Symphony Orchestra is an extra-curricular group for grades 10-12 run by Ms. Van Patter. This ensemble rehearsals Wednesdays from 7:10 - 8:00 AM.

Band

Grade 9 Band (Repertoire) is a curricular group run by Ms. Resendes. This ensemble rehearses Mondays and Thursdays from 7:00 - 8:00 AM.

Senior Concert Band (Repertoire) is a curricular group run by Ms. Resendes. This ensemble rehearses Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:00 - 8:00 AM.

Jazz Band is an extra-curricular group run by Ms. Resendes. Rehearsals for this ensemble are Fridays after school.

Choir

Concert Choir is an extra-curricular group run by Ms. Manning. Rehearals for this ensemble are TBD.
