Metaphysics wrestles with some of our essential questions of what the nature of the universe and how we understand it.
The questions of metaphysics have deep implications on our understanding of ourselves, science, our understanding of all other things in our world.
Metaphysics has deep implications across numerous other subjects and ideas - whether truth and reality, religion and spirituality, as well as ethics and morality.
One particular topic that has been heavily debated within metaphysics over the last thousand years, has been the ideas of God, spiritual reality or the soul. Numerous arguments have been made for and against these ideas over the hundreds of years in vastly different contexts and societies and they continue to be made, whether by professor's such as Dr. Alvin Plantinga, and Dr. Peter Kreeft or Dr. Richard Dawkins and Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
There are several deep problems raised by the questions of metaphysics which appear to have -currently- no satisfactory answer.
It might be that our knowledge or discovery will extend and perhaps certain concepts and understandings of these issues will solve these problems that have plagued the world.
