JA South Western Ontario is dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy by providing FREE experiential learning programs that focus on work readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. The JA Company Program allows any secondary school student to join a JA Company in which they experience the process involved in planning, organizing, operating, and completing a fiscal cycle of a business. Companies meet one evening per week from mid-November to April.

Guided by a group of local business volunteers, students gain first-hand business knowledge and increase their entrepreneurial and leadership skills. They organize their own business, raise capital, sell shares, conduct market research, prepare a business plan, make sales and prepare an annual report for shareholders. Students have the opportunity to apply for scholarships to promote post-secondary education and to receive local awards. More information is attached. In a virtual model, students will gain experience in developing and managing a fully digital business and will develop a skill set that will serve them well in the evolving work world.

For the 2021-2022 school year, students can sign up to attend on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evenings, 6:00 - 8:00pm, from the comfort of their own homes!

The program starts during the week of November 15th; students should register by November 5th!
