Dear Families,
During Outdoor Learning, we use our natural resources and outdoor spaces to learn about the world around us and play! The photograph in the header above is from the pond that we visit behind our school with proper parent/student ratios, and we fortunately have a few areas that we use in our school yard and beside the yard. Your child will have the opportunity to play and learn outside each day: exploring, building, creating, reading, questioning, and discovering. Being outside daily and learning about the natural world is good for us physically, socially and emotionally.
As we will be outside for a good chunk of time all year long, please remember to help your child learn to independently dress for the weather as much as possible. You can help your child enjoy the great outdoors by ensuring that he/she comes to school dressed appropriately. Please see Dressing for the Weather.
