Central Elgin students in grades 9-12 may enrol in activity based Healthy Active Living courses where physical activity is the vehicle for student learning. Lessons in health and physical education are student-centred. While promoting physical literacy, students participate in concept based learning through the TGfU (Teaching Games for Understanding) model. Students also participate in a variety of traditional and non-traditional games and activities. Fitness is consistently promoted and reinforced in daily lessons. We pride ourselves in providing a positive, inclusive learning environment for all of our students.
