Elearning 2023-2024
elearning registration 2023-2024
Elearning for semester 2 is now closed.
Step 1 - Read this info about Elearning
elearning is NOT remote school
you can only take an elearning course if you are registered as an "in school" student and taking in person courses
you may take a combination of in school and elearning courses
you may only have a total of 4 courses per semester with a combination of in school and elearning courses
elearning is asynchronous meaning there is not a certain time of day that you have to be on the course live with your teacher
you must log in and complete work every day in elearning and you would spend the same amount of time per day on the course as you would in a regular semester in class course (ie. approx 75 min plus homework)
most elearning courses are for Gr 11 and 12 students; very few gr 9/10 courses are ever offered through elearning
sometimes you will be on an elearning waitlist when your counsellor initially registers you. You must let your counsellor know which course to remove from your in school classes as soon as you get accepted into the elearning course. Counsellors do not remove your in school course until they hear from you that you were accepted into elearning.
Step 2 - Review the courses offered:
TVDSB courses - TVDSB students receive priority registration if they are registering for TVDSB courses.
All Elearning courses: search for Thames Valley DSB if you want to view TVDSB courses.
