Digital Media Arts classes introduce students to the possibilities for art production with new media with industry favourites such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Wacom graphics tablets. They learn how to transfer traditional art skills to digital media to create digital drawings and paintings and how to create new worlds through photo manipulation. Graphic deign and layout theory will help anyone combining pictures and words to send a message for online design or printed media.

This is an introduction to digital arts. Learn the foundations of creating art using a computer and show your skills through practical and creative projects. No prior digital art skills are required. Basic skills in drawing and painting are helpful. Examples of past projects: Photoshop manipulation, animation, digital drawing, website layout, graphic novel art, and graph design.
This class advances the skills learned in Level 1 and applies them to a variety of digital art software and techniques (e.g. animation, illustrator, digital painting, image editing, and publishing software). It focuses on transferring drawing and painting theory to computer environments, and mastering graphics tablet skills.
