Every school has their own registration form. Check the SchoolPool/Transportation page on your school’s website for the link.
Why do I have to complete a background screening?
As part of our efforts to create a safe and secure environment for your students, we require all participants to go through a criminal background screening and a motor vehicle record screening through our partner, Checkr.
I don’t drive. Can I still participate in SchoolPool?
Yes! If you cleared the criminal background screening but did not input your driver’s license information, you can still have access to the SchoolPool platform. You will not be able to be assigned as a driver on a carpool trip, but your students can still participate. You also can be a chaperone in a bike pool or walk pool.
Can I request to be a driver after registering?
If you did not complete a motor vehicle record screening when you first registered, you can request one by going to your Profile settings and clicking on the “Request MVR” link under the “Contact Info” tab.
My student needs a ride, but I can’t provide rides in return.
That’s OK! It’s not a requirement for everyone to be a driver or chaperone on a trip. Make sure expectations are clear when creating your trips. If you feel the need to contribute in some way, consider chipping in for gas or saying “thank you” with a gift card.
How long does it take to go through the background screening process?
On average, Checkr returns background screening results within 24-48 hours. This time frame can vary depending on where a person has lived in the last 7 years.
I completed the registration form. Now what?
Within one (1) business day, you should receive a welcome letter from Team Go Together <support@gotogether.today> with information on how to get started with your SchoolPool account. Checkr will also send an invitation to complete the background screening in a separate email. Be sure to look in your Spam/Junk folder if you don’t see them in your Inbox.
If you do not see your welcome email or Checkr invitation, please reach out to the Go Together Support Team at support@gotogether.today.
My Checkr invitation expired. How do I request another one?
Checkr invitations expire after seven (7) days, so it’s important to complete them as soon as possible to avoid delays. If your invitation expired, you can also complete the Checkr background and MVR screening by logging into your SchoolPool account and clicking the request link on the home page.
My background screening has been approved. How do I get started on the platform?
Congratulations! You are ready to start connecting with other families in your school community and create trips. We invite you to view our short tutorial series covering 4 easy steps on how to use SchoolPool powered by Go Together.
How do I claim my incentives?
When you meet the requirements for an incentive, a member of the SchoolPool team will reach out to you via email with instructions on how to claim. If you believe that you qualify for an incentive but have not been contacted within five (5) business days, please contact SchoolPool Customer Relationship Manager, Bailey McClure, at bmcclure@gotogether.today.
