Movability of Central Texas launched SchoolPool in collaboration with Go Together and the Clean Air Force of Central Texas. SchoolPool, a grant program that offers carpool, bikepool, and walkpool matching tools, marketing, and financial incentives, helps parents and caregivers save time and money, reduces carline congestion at schools, and keeps the air we breathe clean by minimizing pick-up and drop-off lines across the region.

Our online and mobile platforms make it easy to build a profile, perform background checks on all drivers, and start connecting with other families. Parents and caregivers can choose to be a driver or have their child(ren) participate.

Families will save time, gas, and vehicle wear and tear by creating carpool networks.
Schools benefit by reducing the number of individual vehicles traveling to and through drop-off and pickup lines - which saves time and improves safety.
Fewer idling vehicles also means children are breathing cleaner air.

At Movability, Bill focuses on key programs and services, including mobility planning and member consulting, grant programs and Get There Central Texas. As an Austin native and graduate of the University of Texas-Austin with a bachelor of journalism degree, Bill has experienced first hand Austin’s growth since the 1970s. Today, he’s a “super commuter” who enjoys taking Cap Metro transit services whenever and wherever possible. In the fall, look for him at UT-Austin football games or around town sampling the benefits of growth – new restaurants and hot spots!
