Best Buddies

Best Buddies (https://www.bestbuddies.org/maine/) is a program that builds connections and community between young students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through inclusive activities and social-emotional learning tools that promote one-to-one friendship, acceptance, and interaction at an early age.

Our Functional Life Skills teacher, Sarah Little, has started a Best Buddies program at Narragansett! Students who join this program will participate in small group activities facilitated by Mrs. Little during the school day once a week. If your child would like to join Best Buddies or if you would like more information regarding the program, please complete this brief Google Form and you will be contacted. Our Best Buddies program will kick off the week of February 23rd!

Gorham Public Pre-K Application

Gorham Public Pre-K Applications for School Year 2026/2027

We are now accepting applications for the Gorham Public Pre-K Program. Gorham is excited to offer a voluntary Public Pre-K program at eight (8) partner locations. In order to be considered, your child must be 4 years old, but not 5, before October 15th, and you must be a resident of Gorham, ME.

Please visit the website for more information: Gorham Public Pre-K

Winter is here in Maine

This is a reminder to make sure your students are dressed warmly for winter temperatures in Maine. Students have a 25-minute recess period daily. Teachers may also take children outside for regular breaks.

Temperature is checked by going to www.weather.com and putting in the Gorham zip code.  The actual temperature will appear as well as the "feels like" temperature.  If it "feels like" 10 degrees or above, students will go out.

When there is snow on the ground, students must have grade-level appropriate snow gear in order to play on the field or equipment while at school. Otherwise, they are limited to the blacktop.

  • Grades PreK-3: Full snow gear (jacket, snow pants, boots)

  • Grades 4-5: Boots and jacket
