Principal
Ah, my dear young cranes, today I have the honor of introducing someone most extraordinary. Since 2022, she has poured her heart and soul into Crane Brook, serving tirelessly for the good of our school and every student within it. With wisdom, dedication, and a love that shines brighter than the morning sun, she has become the very heartbeat of our flock.
And so it fills me with joy to announce her as our new principal—Mrs. Jillie Pinkley! Though she came to us from the hills of West Virginia, her home is now here, in this nest we call Crane Brook Academics. She is ready and eager to guide us higher, serving both staff and students with grace, courage, and vision.
Truly, my dear scholars, under Mrs. Pinkley’s care, our flock will not only fly… it will soar.
"Our flock is strongest when guided with love, and that is the gift Mrs. Pinkley brings each day."
—Wingsley
"Even the strongest wings need guidance. It is our Crane Brook Staff who steady the winds beneath us, lighting the path so our flock may always soar higher together.” – Wingsley

Wingsley Crane
Ah, my dear young cranes, have you ever wondered who keeps our Crane Brook nest in perfect order? Allow me to introduce you to the marvelous team I fondly call The Nest Keepers. Like watchful guardians, they see to it that all runs smoothly—schedules, messages, and a warm welcome for every scholar who walks through our doors. Truly, they are the steady feathers that hold our flock together.
The Guiding Wings
1st - 3rd Grade
Now then, my bright young cranes, even the tallest birds must begin in the nest. At Crane Brook, we are most fortunate to have a remarkable flock I fondly call The Guiding Wings. These devoted teachers lead our youngest learners with patience, care, and creativity—helping each child discover the courage to soar.
The Rising Fledglings
4th - 6th Grade
Now, have you noticed a certain spark in our middle-little scholars? A spark of independence, curiosity, and daring! These I proudly call The Rising Fledglings. With feathers strong and spirits eager, they are testing the winds of knowledge, learning to trust themselves, and preparing to soar with confidence.
The Horizon Keepers
7th - 8th Grade
Every flock needs those who point the way, and for our Grades 7 and 8, that role belongs to our extraordinary middle school staff. I call them The Horizon Keepers, for they remind our young cranes to look ahead, dream big, and take steady steps toward the future
The Flight Masters
9th - 12th Grade
Amanda Childress-Velasquez
Sandra Staples
Mat Delaney
Now then, every crane must one day learn to fly not just with courage, but with mastery. That is the noble task of our High School Staff, whom I call The Flight Masters. They sharpen your skills, test your strength, and ensure that when you leave this brook, you will do so with wings strong enough to carry you anywhere.
The Enrichment Wing

Ah, my dear young cranes, while reading and numbers give you the strength to fly, it is creativity, culture, and skill that make your wings truly shine. That is why I am most grateful for our electives teachers, whom I call The Enrichment Wing. From music to art, from language to trade skills, they enrich our flock with beauty, imagination, and the tools for life.
Together—The Nest Keepers, The Guiding Wings, The Rising Fledglings, The Horizon Keepers, The Flight Masters, and The Enrichment Wing—are the strength and spirit of Crane Brook Academics. They are the feathers of our wings, the builders of our nest, and the reason this flock soars ever higher.
