Ah, my dear cranes,
Though much of school is built upon the strength of our core classes—math, reading, writing, and science—we must also remember that even the brightest young minds can grow weary. Burnout is real, and it can come quickly if the days are nothing but drills and books.
At Crane Brook Academics, we work tirelessly to make learning joyful. We want every child to feel proud to be part of our flock, and to be excited to return to us each morning with a smile. ✨
From Spirit Week to Parent & Grandparent Luncheons, from bubbling science experiments to the thrill of our Crane Cup Tournaments, and even the elegance of our Winter Formal Dance—we strive to make Crane Brook more than a school. We are building a place of happiness, community, and belonging.
For when a child feels safe, joyful, and celebrated, their wings spread wider, and their hearts fly higher. And that, my friends, is the truest kind of education.

At Crane Brook Academics, we believe that every student holds the spark of greatness within them. It is our calling to fan that flame—to lead each child toward success by pushing them to their very best, challenging their critical thinking, empowering teamwork, and nurturing friendships that last a lifetime.
We walk beside our students not only in their triumphs, but in their struggles. When they laugh, we laugh. When they cry, we cry. No matter what, they are never alone—for here, we are a team, one flock, lifting one another higher.
Most of all, we believe that every student has a path to a bright and boundless future. Our joy is in helping them find it, walk it, and soar beyond it.

It Takes a Village
Ah, my dear families,
Like all things in life, we know one truth to be certain—you can never do it alone. It takes a village to raise a child, and the same is true for educating our future leaders.
At Crane Brook Academics, we surround our students with every resource we can. Through intervention periods and remedial classes, we meet students where they are and guide them toward where they can be. In addition, we are proud to partner with Catapult Learning, bringing a tutor to campus each week to work with students either one-on-one or in small groups.
No crane soars by itself—our flock rises together. And here, we will always do everything in our power to lift each child with the support, guidance, and care they deserve.

One of the greatest joys of learning is discovering new ways to grow. That is why we are proud to partner with Catapult Learning, a remarkable tutoring resource that brings creative instruction right to our campus.
Through the use of instructive and educational toys, Catapult tutors offer fresh approaches that spark curiosity and unlock potential. These activities are carefully designed to stimulate a child’s intellect, creativity, imagination, logical thinking, memory, and coordination—all while making learning fun.
Each of these skills strengthens our students’ foundation and helps them succeed in their core classes. With Catapult Learning, we give our cranes every opportunity to spread their wings, think boldly, and soar higher.

Art at Crane Brook
One of the treasures of Crane Brook Academics is our vibrant art program, led by the talented Miss Emma Stockton. Miss Stockton not only brings her gifts to our students each day, but is also pursuing her own degree in art—sharing her passion as both teacher and learner.
Under her guidance, our students have created countless projects, each brimming with imagination and beauty. Their artwork fills our breezeway and classrooms with magnificent colors and patterns, a living testament to their creativity.
Art is more than a pastime—it is a breath of fresh air between the rigors of core classes. Art enriches creativity, and creativity enriches life. How blessed we are to have Miss Stockton’s skill and heart woven into our flock.
Trades at Crane Brook
How fortunate we are to have the worldly and ever-resourceful Mr. Mark Williams among our flock! Over and over again, we are grateful that his trade class has found a home in our students’ schedules.
Here, our students are learning the very skills that life often expects one to simply “pick up along the way.” From the simplicity and safety of changing a lightbulb, to the complexity of handling tools with care, to the creativity of constructing furniture and using real equipment—these lessons are as practical as they are empowering.
The joy on our students’ faces as they work with their hands says it all. They are not only learning skills, but also confidence, patience, and problem-solving—qualities that will serve them in every corner of life.
What a blessing it is to have Mr. Williams guiding them, one tool, one project, and one life lesson at a time.
Life Skills at Crane Brook
At Crane Brook Academics, learning doesn’t always happen behind a desk. Sometimes it happens with dirt on our hands, curiosity in our hearts, and a potato ready to grow. 🌱🥔
Our Garden Club recently spent time with our students learning all about potatoes—how they grow, how they can be planted, and what it takes to care for them from the soil up.
Students of all ages had the opportunity to get hands-on, ask questions, create their own planting projects, and learn from members of our community who generously shared their time and knowledge with us.
Experiences like these remind us that education is about more than textbooks. It is about giving students opportunities to explore the world around them, learn practical skills, work together, and discover where their interests may take root.
A very special thank you to our Garden Club volunteers for pouring into our students and helping make this such a memorable learning experience.

Journalism at Crane Brook
Stories are the heartbeat of history, and at Crane Brook, we are honored to offer our students the chance to become storytellers themselves through our Journalism elective, led by none other than the master of the craft, Mr. Mat Delaney. With over 15 years of expertise, he guides our students into the world of reporting, interviewing, and investigating—teaching them to uncover the truth and find the story.
From writing our school newspaper to conducting interviews and shaping narratives that captivate an audience, our students are learning the powerful art of communication. And beyond the words, some of our cranes have a keen eye for design—making each edition a true work of art.
It has been nothing short of phenomenal to watch these young journalists in action, turning curiosity into craft and skill into storytelling. They are not only documenting the present but preparing to shape the future.
