Welcome to Golden Hawk Ranch, home of THMF Morgan Horses.

We are proud to share our horses, their stories, and our life with our Morgans.

Golden Hawk Ranch is rooted in a family’s love of Morgan horses that began in 1988. Originally based in Moscow, Idaho, as ThunderHead Farm, the family’s breeding program gave rise to the THMF prefix and a connection to its beginnings that continues today at Golden Hawk Ranch in Redmond, Oregon.

The ranch celebrates the Morgan’s remarkable temperament, beauty, versatility, and willingness to give their all for their people. Its philosophy is simple: family horses first, equally at home on a mountain trail or in the show ring. Breeding, showing, and enjoying horses as a family are all part of that tradition.

KEE Golden Hawk, affectionately known as Hawk, is the ranch’s namesake and embodies everything that makes the Morgan Horse special. Hawk joined the family at two years old, when Isabella, known as Bella, was just three. Through the years, he has embraced everything she has asked of him, from reining and carriage driving to dressage, gaming, drill team, and leadline. Once he carried Bella in leadline classes; now he carries her children. At 28, Hawk is still going strong, teaching the next generation about Morgan horses and the lasting bonds they build with their people.
