Green Teams consist of staff and students committed to reducing waste at school.
A Green Team is a group of staff and students who work collaboratively to help their school operate more sustainability.
Green Teams have at least one administrator, teacher, custodian, and student member.
Members work together to train staff and students to prevent and reduce waste using a 3-bin system and food share table.
Team members should meet regularly to discuss their efforts to educate their students, monitor contamination, and track waste data.
This training video covers everything school staff need to know about the requirements of state waste laws, the role of each stakeholder at school, and the resources available.
