Reporting

Reporting on waste reduction and diversion progress can be a point of pride for schools and the district, as well as an opportunity to keep momentum. 

We recommend reporting take place internally and externally via:

• Annual reports to School Board

• Annual feedback from school teams

• Publication of results on district website

These sample newsletters can be incorporated into internal email blasts, or external publications like the district's website, social media, and press releases. 

Regular messages keep the community up-to-date and motivated.

Each year, the District Office Green Team can author a report for their School Board outlining the progress made toward compliance goals and any program feedback from school teams.

Feedback should be collected from school teams on a regular basis. More formalized approaches include surveys and site visits, or "Listening Tours" in which the District Office Green Team visits each school site team to collect feedback and identify successes and opportunities.
