You may have water in a bottle WITH A LID in class.

WATER is the only beverage allowed in the hallways and classrooms.

Absent for a Test/Quiz

In addition to checking the class website/agenda for missed work and activities after an absence, students must also schedule a time to make up any missed tests or quizzes. Students MUST NOT take assessments of any kind outside of class, unless direct permission was given by Mrs. Lane.

Calling Home

Students will only be given permission to call home using the OFFICE phone in an emergency or if prompted by Mrs. Lane. Students may not call home for forgotten items or assignments and may not use their cell phone.

Music in Class

With permission, students may listen to SCHOOL APPROPRIATE music IF they use their personal earbuds or headphones.

Google Classroom

Mrs. Lane uses Google Classroom for approximately 50% of her assignments. This means that students MUST LOOK ON THE AGENDA PAGE (class website) when they are absent. Google Classroom will NOT always have tasks and activities missed during an absence.

Electronic assignments are treated as hard copy assignments. Students submitting late electronic assignments, even by mistake, will be subject to the same consequence assigned to hard copy work. 

Students turning in blank documents on electronic assignments will receive a zero with no option to complete and return.

Supplies

Mrs. Lane has between 105-125 students. Unfortunately, that means there is not enough room in the classroom for students to leave their supplies/books in the room. Students are required to TAKE ALL supplies with them each day. 

Interactive Binder (INB)

Mrs. Lane will grade Interactive Binders (INB) approximately once each month. 

If you missed a page, lost a page, or need to check your INB for any other reason, Mrs. Lane also has an INB that will remain up-to-date for students to use as an example.
