Welcome!
Here's a little about me (because I know you've been wondering...)
I've been teaching College Writing classes for literally my entire adult life (and I'm old, so that's a long time). My first teaching job was at K-State, just after I earned my Master of Arts in English. After that I taught at Butler and Hutch Community College for a while.
While I enjoyed teaching in colleges, it just felt kind of impersonal. I realized that I could have a lot more fun teaching in a high school.
So, I took a whole bunch of graduate Education classes and earned my teaching license. This is my twentieth year of teaching high school English. I teach college curriculum to high school students, which is really the best of both worlds.
My favorite part of my job is my students. I love spending my day with teenagers. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic. No two days are ever the same, in a good way.
I always say that my job is weird. And I love it!
