Welcome to 7th Grade Science

In 7th grade science we mainly focus on life science.  We will look at the structure, function, adaptation, and diversity of organisms.  Instead of just leaning science facts and definitions we will be applying concepts that we learn in class to real world situations.    

You can expect a small amount of homework each night.  On a typical night it should not be more than 10 minutes worth of homework.  All assignments can be found on Google classroom.  We will have notebook checks after about 3-4 activites so we can make sure that everyone is staying cuaght up in their notebooks.  At the end of a unit we will have a test.  There will be a link on google classroom for a wayground to help you study.  The wayground will have questions from the test on it to help students study for the test.  

I do not offer extra credit in class so it is important for students to do their best on all assignments.  Most homework assignments are done on the internet on google classroom. I do not allow corrections so it is important for students to do well on their assignments and their tests when they work on them.    

All homework, notes, flashcards, and handouts can be found on the website.  Students can also access the Educational Websites link on the left hand side of this page. 

I firmly believe that you can do anything you set your mind to.  I am looking forward to a great and exciting year.
