Curriculum Maps are a guide to teachers lesson plans for each Marking Period. It will state the focus standard(s) of that week, units they are working in, readings that they are doing and how they are assessing to make sure all students have mastered the skills.
Standard : What 1 - 2 standards will be the focus for that week. I know we teach more than 1 - 2 standards a week but think of what ones are key for success that week.
Learning Targets : What learning targets do you expect your students to MASTER by the end of that week/lesson. If there is more than one, it should be included here.
Theme/Unit/Ch : What chapter, book or unit are you focusing on. This will look different at each subject and grade level but this should tell exactly where the lesson is being taught from.
Assessment : How will you know your students have mastered this standard? Quiz, exit ticket, project. *This does not need to be super detailed but it should give administration a view of what students will be doing.
Vocabulary : Key words needed from the standard that is being taught AND key terms needed to be successful in the lesson. This will look different each week and lesson. There is not a set number of terms but think ahead of time what students need to know ahead of teaching.
Resources : What is your actual curriculum for this activity and any other resources that you may be using to teach the full extent of standard. **Reminder that we want to use are curriculums to the fullest potential to get a good understanding if they are meeting our district needs. If you have questions on additional resources please reach out!
Curriculum Maps will be updated as they are complete per grade and subject.
