BISD staff that possess a National Board Certification should contact BISD’s Human Resource Department to provide the necessary documentation. Staff interested in pursuing National Board Certification are encouraged to consult the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards site for more information.

Compensation Plan

For any funds received by Brownsboro ISD for a designated teacher under the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), 90%, less the TRS dedication (both employee and district) and any other applicable payroll taxes or deductions, will be paid to the designated teacher.

The remaining 10% will be used at the district level for teacher training and support, administrative expenses, data analysis, and professional development to support all teachers.

TIA-designated teachers will receive TIA compensation annually, by August 31st based on their TIA designation
