Dear Parents ,
Welcome to our EC2 world! We are looking forward to an amazing year together.
Here are some things you will need to know:
All students attending EC2 will be dismissed at 12:00 between August 20, 2025, and September 12, 2025. During this period, lunch will not be served to students at school.
Full day attendance will be available after that date. Once your child starts full day program, the pick-up time is 2:50pm (and 2:00pm on Wednesday). Depending on the development of the child within the class environment, the teacher may suggest early dismissal, in the best interest of the student.
All students attending the full day program will rest at school and need to be able to self-soothe and sleep without a pacifier. They must be used to sleeping in an open bed. For children who need further support, consider the half day option and work towards the full day program.
Please complete (update) the online dismissal form for your child as soon as possible.
Clothing: It is important that clothes are easy for your child to manage without much adult assistance. Please remember that a day in EC2 might be messy. Your child will need 4-5 sets of spare clothes and a pair of indoor shoes (no laces, please). These spare clothes will remain at school and will need to be changed as needed. Also note that we will be going outside daily unless the weather conditions do not permit (temperature falls below -10, heavy rain, or high wind, etc.), so please ensure your child has the proper outdoor items. We kindly ask to keep water-resistant clothing at school along with a pair of rain boots. Hats and sunscreen are essential for outdoor play during sunny days; sunscreen must be applied at home prior to school.
Lunch: Please ensure that you have signed a contract with Flavours Stradale Cafetaria. Otherwise, please send a packed lunch from home.
A water bottle that your child can open independently is also needed. The water bottle needs to be taken home daily to be cleaned.
Toileting: Toileting is a developmental journey between the ages of two and three. Some children may be in diapers at the start of the school year, while others may be using the toilet. We support each child on their journey. Families will introduce the toileting process at home, and the school will work in partnership with you. For students using diapers during their waking/sleeping hours, please send in diapers and wet wipes. For children learning to use the toilet, please send in changes of clothing as we know accidents are part of the process.
Nap time: a pillow, a bed sheet, and a blanket are necessary if your child naps at school. The size of your child’s sleeping mat is 59cmx119cm. The size of your child’s sleeping mat is 59cmx119cm. Please bring those in a labelled fabric box (an idea could be an Ikea box, code 903.992.17).
Please label EVERYTHING you would like returned home (shoes, water bottles, jackets, change of clothing, mittens, pillows, etc.)
Should you need to discuss anything, please make an appointment with your child's teacher at kcool@goaisb.ro or dcrisan@goaisb.ro .
Dear Parents ,
In order to enable the children to explore and utilize this environment to its fullest potential, we would like to remain mindful of its ongoing preservation and cleanliness. As such, please note that the ELC will be a no outdoor shoe zone. We will be requesting that shoes be changed or removed upon entering the building. You are most welcome to remain barefoot, with socks, bring a change of footwear (no high heels, please), or alternatively to use protective covers that you can find at the ELC entrance.
