Postdoctoral Researchers
Postdoctoral positions may become available depending on the availability of external research funding. Information on future openings will be posted here as soon as our funding situation is updated.
We are also happy to support prospective researchers who have secured, or plan to apply for, their own fellowships or scholarships, including the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research in Japan.
PhD Students
We actively welcome applications from prospective PhD students who are interested in pursuing research in our laboratory. At present, all PhD students in our laboratory receive financial support equivalent to the JSPS Research Fellowship for Young Scientists research allowance, approximately JPY 200,000 per month.
We also provide support and guidance for fellowship applications, including applications to the JSPS Research Fellowship for Young Scientists.
Researchers and students who are interested in joining our laboratory are warmly encouraged to contact us. Please include a brief description of your research interests, academic background, and preferred starting period in your enquiry.
About the MechanoBioDesign Laboratory
The MechanoBioDesign Laboratory seeks to address the development of medical technologies with consideration of biological responses. To this end, we have investigated the mechanisms of cellular responses to mechanical stimuli in the living body and the factors that contribute to human health and disease based on the mechanical responses at the cellular level. We also aim to establish a theory that feeds the results of this research back into the design of medical technologies.
