Hi, we’re Pearl Thomas and Sara Rosenfeld, and we’ve been passionate about theatre since we were kids! We both got our start in elementary school, where we discovered the magic of storytelling, performance, and creativity. Over the years, theatre has shaped who we are, teaching us valuable lessons in confidence, collaboration, and expression. Now, we want to share that same love and excitement for the arts with the next generation.
Our camp is designed for young performers, giving them a fun and supportive environment to explore their creativity, build new skills, and discover the joy of theatre. We believe that everyone has a unique story to tell, and through theatre, kids can learn to express themselves, make lasting friendships, and have a blast along the way. We can’t wait to be a part of your child’s theatre journey this summer.
At our summer camp, our goal is simple: to ignite a love for theatre in young performers while allowing them to shine on stage. Over one exciting week, we’ll guide kids entering 3rd-6th grade through the process of putting together a full musical production. From learning songs and dances to exploring character development, every camper will be an integral part of creating a memorable performance.
Our camp will culminate in two final performances where campers will have the chance to showcase all of their hard work and creativity for family and friends. We want every child to feel confident, empowered, and proud of their achievements as they step into the spotlight. Whether they’re a first-time performer or a seasoned pro, our goal is to inspire, support, and help each camper discover the joy of performing!
Each day at our theatre camp is filled with fun, learning, and creativity! From 9 AM to 2 PM, campers will dive into the world of theatre at the Maple Valley Arts Council Theatre, where every moment is an opportunity to grow and shine.
Mornings will begin with warm-ups and improv games to get the creative energy flowing. Campers will then focus on learning songs, dances, and blocking for our musical production. Throughout the week, they’ll work with us to bring their characters to life, while gaining confidence in their performance skills.
In addition to the rehearsals, we believe in teaching important life skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving—skills that are just as essential on stage as they are in everyday life. We’ll also introduce fun improv games to encourage quick thinking, creativity, and laughter.
Every day will bring new challenges and opportunities to grow, all while having a blast with new friends. By the end of the week, our campers will have built lasting memories, new skills, and the excitement of performing on stage for an audience.
